Starting this June, e-learning courses aimed for the German travel trade will be conducted by FVW Akademie in collaboration with Visit Maldives. Until November, the courses will be carried out on the leading media channel of the region in German language.
Participants of the programme will be educated on the various products available for the holidaymakers in the Maldives, along with unique and authentic experiences that can be taken up in the destination. A major focus will be given to portraying the destination as an ideal safe haven as a much-preferred post-pandemic travel spot for the travel-hungry enthusiasts. In this regard, limelight will be shown on the stringent safety measures across the touchpoints and the establishments, the nation-wide vaccination drive and information related to travel to and from the Maldives.
An approximate 400 participants are expected to take part in this programme. Additionally, Maldives will be featured on two monthly newsletters of FVW. There is also an enticing raffle draw sponsored by Nakai Dhiggiri Resort at the end of the programme to promote participation.
Visit Maldives has arranged for a number of strategic campaigns like this for the strengthening of the destination presence in key markets. Several other activities will also be carried out later in the year. Germany has remained a third highest source market to the Maldives despite a huge plummet amid the pandemic. . The hope of Visit Maldives is to continue this momentum and reach pre-pandemic levels as well as increase the number of arrivals exponentially from this market.
