A gathering of world-class chefs, baristas, and mixologists from the world’s top restaurants and bars, Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa has launched ‘Culinary Season 2022’, the resort’s premier dining program. They will be showcasing their best dishes and drinks for everyone to try. You can expect elegant multi-course fine dining, rustic beachside barbecues, master classes, intimate private dining experiences, and more.
One of the chefs that will be in attendance is Brazilian Masterchef winner and founder of Itacoa restaurant, Chef Rafael Gomes. He's known for his generous and fined gastronomic voyages, offering diners a nourishing journey abundant with fresh herbs and spices. From the 3 rd to the 6th of May, the resort will feature elegant five-course dinners and bountiful beach barbecues, offering the best of both worlds as diners can savor fresh local seafood and tender racks of lamb. Further, Chef Gomes will be hosting an exclusive table at the resort’s private island Bodu Finolhu. Limited to twelve diners, the exclusive and intimate experience will feature a fusion of vibrant flavors and fresh local produces including from the resort’s hydroponic garden, The Greenhouse.
Right after him, is someone who will leave you a bit tipsy if you drink too much, Benjamin Padrón. He hails from Licorería Limantour the world’s top 6 bar on the list of ‘World’s 50 Best Bars’, Benjamin will not only be crafting his signature mixes by the beach, but he will also be pairing his creations at exclusive dinners and set to make Bodu Island the best bar in the world for one spectacular evening.
IN the month of June, there will be a dedicated coffee session with Fabrizio Aquè, as this month is dedicated to the rich flavors of coffee from all around the world. Aquè is an illy Master Barista having graduated from illy’s own Università del Caffè (University of Coffee) and will be in the resort from 6-10 June. He is the one who is responsible for the baristas' training within the Asia Pacific region. If guests wish to, they too can train under him and learn his signature drinks, or simply enjoy one of his best.
Later this year, Chef Walter Ishizuka from France will be taking over the kitchen of the resort’s signature Japanese-French fusion restaurant Tabemasu in a series of Omakase dinners between 11-13 of July.
