To receive the festive season, Hideaway Beach Resort & SpA is going to implement the Festive Programme to be held on the day of 21 December 2025 and 7 January 2026, and provide guests with a holistic holiday experience in the stunning environment, on the island. The programme entails a fine combination of food, entertainment, and couples, family, and friend activities.

The celebrations start on 21 December with an Indian Ocean Themed Buffet Night and Fisherman Night, and the celebrations continue with a multitude of culinary delights through to the end of the week. During the season, the guests can have themed buffet dinners based on world cuisines such as the Silk Road, North and Latin America, North African and the Middle East, South Asia and Sri Lanka. There are signature events like the Lobster Dinner Under the Stars at Meeru Beach and a Seafood BBQ Night with Boduberu which are giving the celebrations a touch of the native island.

The nights are full of acoustic shows, karaoke, DJ parties, live music and cultural shows such as Boduberu drumming, fire shows and LED shows. Throughout the day, the guests are able to participate in light-hearted activities that cut across all ages e.g. festive games and creative challenges.

Kids get a special programme consisting of practical workshops, games, and activities according to the season that will make them feel creative and excited about the holidays. The Christmas Eve is an especial island celebration, as Santa arrives at Meeru Beach and after that, the event proceeds with carols, treasure hunt and a feast dinner. The festivals continue well up to the Christmas day with casual meals and family oriented events.

The peak of the season is the New Year’s Eve with the Gala Dinner at Matheefaru, live performances, Boduberu show, DJ performances, and a firework to greet the new year. The celebrations are continued to the early part of January and the visitors could have a taste of fine food and easygoing beach time and indulge in the serene beauty of the Maldives.
