A unique Sense of Weightlessness – JOALI BEING

Sunday 13th of June 2021

Hidden beneath the lush natural foliage of Bodufushi in Raa Atoll, JOALI BEING is a private island sanctuary themed to offer a first-of-its-kind personalized and result-driven transformative experience in the Maldives. Launching late this year, the concept brings together the finest wellbeing facilities and unique transformational spaces, JOALI BEING will be the ultimate sanctuary where every guest that leaves the island feels renewed, uplifted, and inspired, with a new sense of weightlessness.

Throughout the resort, a sense of harmony and enhanced energy flow of the island is incorporated into the Biophilic design principles that complement the island’s untouched wild forest. The masterminds behind the design are architect Cuneyt Bukulmez from Atolye4N Architectural Design Studio and an interior design studio Autoban, both of whose vision remains colorfully displayed in JOALI Muravandhoo island.

The 68-villas on the beach are both private and exquisite, dotted along the powdery sand beach of the island. Each villa is furnished with private pools and a variety of special inclusions, such as customized mini-bar setups, tuned meditative balancing musical instruments, wellbeing games and more. Your stay will be enhanced with the company of a Jadugar who ensures that every wish of yours remain granted. Topping off the slumber options is the unique four-bedroom fully equipped exclusive overwater villa with a magnificent uninterrupted ocean view, a wellbeing room, and a movement room.

The four pillars of JOALI BEING’s transformational wellbeing experiences encompass the Mind, Skin, Microbiome and Energy. Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed by a personal wellbeing consultant who masterfully curates an individualized journey, fusing both traditional and modern methods to illuminate a path to transcendence, self-discovery and renewal.

To develop the Four Pillars of Wellbeing, JOALI BEING partnered with Professor Gerry Bodeker of Oxford, a Harvard-trained expert on traditional and integrative medicine and wellness who chairs the Mental Wellness Initiative of the Global Wellness Institute. A collection of transformational spaces spread around the island welcomes interactions with a dedicated inhouse team of naturopaths, therapists, movement specialists and nutritionists.

Expert-managed, the culinary journey too at JOALI BEING focuses on being close to nature with an Earth-to Table initiative that involves closely with the community to source ingredients as sustainably as possible. A selection of flavours and cuisines with healthy yet indulgent dining options come alive at the large, open dining spaces in the island. Guests at JOALI BEING can also enjoy interactive nutritional cooking classes at the retreat’s Culinary Learning Centre, which will offer fully equipped kitchen spaces for each participant.

JOALI BEING will become the new home for wellbeing seekers who wish to reconnect with the beauty of the surrounding nature and find meaningful connections around them. The resort is planned to welcome guests on the island in late 2021.
