Alila Kothaifaru Maldives Launches The Shack – A Bespoke Sandbank Experience

Alila Kothaifaru Maldives has unveiled The Shack, a novel experience for guests on a deserted sandbank. Enclosed by panoramic landscapes of the Maldives, particularly the blue turquoise waters guests can unwind and commemorate their special moments at The Shack while immersing in the natural splendour of the beautiful archipelago. Designed as an understated yet sophisticated venue, The Shack will add another level to the luxurious offerings available at Alila Kothaifaru.

Reached by a short five-minute ride from the resort, guests will be taken aback by the picturesque beauty of the scene, with unobstructed views of the Indian Ocean and a teeming house reef beckoning them to jump right into the crystalline waters. A drop of white in a sea of blue, the dining experience completely captures the connection with the ocean, with its open kitchen and bar letting the ocean breeze sweep right into the venue.

Two distinct trips to The Shack are offered by Alila Kothaifaru every day. Each 4-hour day trip will include a set lunch or dinner menu with the highlight being the Josper Charcoal Grill Experience, where a medley of meats and seafood options sourced from local, sustainable producers will be grilled to perfection in a Josper charcoal oven. The traditional cooking practice enables meats to be seared quickly at astonishing heat of up to 500 degrees Celsius, packing in the juices while infusing the air with delicious smoky aromas.

Sumptuous meals can be paired with a wide selection of drinks and beverages from The Shack Bar including a myriad of crafty cocktail concoctions.
