Situated in the pristine Raa Atoll, the all-new luxury property of the Amari brand has announced that it will be opening its doors to guests during the first quarter of 2023 in April. The brand-new island resort will be home to 200 resplendent villas, seven exquisite dining concepts as well as a serene Maai Spa and kids club. With the opening of this property, the Amari Brand will step up its destination presence in the Maldives as Amari Havodda Maldives is the only other property of the brand currently located in the country.
The Amari brand is featured under the ONYX Hospitality Group, a Thailand-based group ranked among the leading players in the Asia Pacific region. The ONYX group has several brands under its portfolio including Amari, Ozo, Shama and the Saffron and Mosaic Collection. The group has recently unveiled plans for large-scale expansion with the ambitious vision to increase their properties to 54 by the end of 2025.
Spearheading the pre-opening operations of Amari Raaya Maldives is Rainer Steinhilber who steps in as the Pre-opening General Manager of the resort. Having worked in the Maldives for almost a decade, he brings to the resort extensive knowledge and insight into the Maldivian hospitality scene and is now leading the pre-opening operations of the new, anticipated property.
