Chef Amritesh has over a decade of experience working across the continent and specializes in authentic Indian cuisines that takes you on a colorful yet mouthwatering journey to India. He is eager to give a glimpse to of every corner of what incredible India has to offer in terms of gastronomy at Raffles Maldives Meradhoo.

Coming from a family that adores and celebrates food, Chef Amritesh Kumar learned his art and gained passion for cooking from his mother who inspired him to pursue a career in hospitality. His goal in the kitchen is not just curating bespoke Indian cuisines at Raffles Maldives Meradhoo but bringing about a smile in their guests’ faces after a heavenly meal that takes them on a culinary journey to India and back. With a bustling amount of spices of various smells and tastes, he opens a door into the less discovered.

As a Heartist of Raffles, he enjoys the company of his fellow colleagues both in and out of the kitchen and emulates the whole of India and its wonders via a culinary experience like never before. Aside from working with his collogues and fellow chefs, he enjoys learning new techniques from the talented chefs at Raffles Maldives Meradhoo to skillfully incorporate in his dishes.
