Coming to inspire the next generation of professional football stars at five-star Amilla Maldives Resort & Residences is none other than former English Premier League Player, Robert Green this Easter! He would be taking residency at the resort from April 7th-11th and will lead an exciting children’s football camp as part of Amilla’s Easter celebrations for this year.
During his stay, he would be conducting daily 2-hour Masterclass Boot Camps for kids with no extra charges applied for participation. All kids who attend pro coaching sessions will be presented with certificates and medals at the closing ceremony of the event. Green’s Football Camp aligns with Amilla’s wider Easter programme for 2023 which offers guests of all ages, a myriad of bespoke activities and experiences to engage and immersive in.
Throughout his career, Robert Green was a prominent player in both the Premier League and the English Football League and has also played for the English national team. He made his debut with Norwich City in 1999 and made a total of 241 appearances for the club, even making the PFTA Team of the Year when they won the First Division in 2003-04.
Afterwards, Green transferred to West Ham United where he was named the Player of the Year in 2008 and then to Queens Park Rangers, where he contributed to winning the playoffs again in 2014. In 2016, he made a move to Leeds where he spent two seasons before ultimately retiring in 2019 after two successful Premier League seasons with Huddersfield Town and Chelsea.
Amilla Maldives’ theme for this Easter is Treasure Island, inspired by the classic tale of the same name by Robert Louis Stevenson. The resort will also be incorporating both Easter and Orthodox Easter into its programme, extending the Easter festivities till April 16, 2023. With plenty to look forward to, including Green’s Kids Football Camp, guests will be spoiled for choice in the heart of Baa.
