Famed for the utmost priority given to enhancing guest services at all touch points, Atmosphere Hotels and Resorts drive their services with a team as refined. The group has announced the appointment of General Managers to 3 of its luxury resorts in the Maldives.
Philippe Claverotte - Vice President Operations for The White Label Set By Atmosphere and General Manager of VARU By Atmosphere
Appointed to lead operations for the The White Label Set’ sub-brand and serve as the General Manager of VARU By Atmosphere, Philippe Claverotte is a well experienced veteran in the hospitality industry. He has a rich history of work experience across 12 countries, most recently as the General Manager of Atmosphere Kanifushi. His deep understanding of the company pholisophy: Joy of Giving will be now implemented in enhancing the White Label Set By Atmosphere.
His main focus will be on driving operations and commercial strategies for the two resorts while enhancing the overall service culture. The ‘Naturally Maldivian’ resort of VARU by Atmosphere offers pristine locations, luxurious and authentic villas designed with a sense of place, excellent fine dining experiences, and first-class service, which Philippe wants guests to experience throughout the White Label resorts.

Shaped up by 22 years of experience in the hospitality industry engaging with elite labels across the Caribbean, Mauritius, China, France and South East Asia. She has been a part of Maldivian resorts in positions of Food and Beverage Manager, Resort Manager, and General Manager. Mei boasts of a strong background in food and beverage operations.
Monika Suri - General Manager of OBLU SELECT At Sangeli
Monica joined Atmosphere group in the Maldives in October 2019 as the pre-opening General Manager of VARU by Atmosphere. Successfully leading the team through the grand launch, she used a wealth of decade-long experience and knowledge of human resources, training and core operations.
Prior to her position in the Maldives, Monica was serving as the General Manager of a privileged label in India. Her passion for travel has taken Monica across 36 countries. She is a graduate from the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Bangalore, and has also completed a leadership programme from Cornell.
