Barceló Hotel Group has announced several key leadership appointments aimed at elevating the guest experience and driving the growth of Barceló Nasandhura Malé. These strategic roles are set to enhance the hotel’s standing as a premier destination in the Maldives.

Enric Reina Canitrot has been appointed as the Deputy General Manager of Barceló Nasandhura Malé. Enric brings a wealth of experience to his role and expressed his enthusiasm for the new project, highlighting the hotel’s significance as the first luxury hotel in Malé. He is committed to working with the team to create exceptional guest experiences and explore new opportunities for the hotel’s success.

Joining him is Jenna Gangmei, who steps in as the Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing. Jenna’s 14-year career in hospitality includes stints at renowned brands such as Accor, Radisson, and Dusit Thani. In her new role, she will be responsible for executing comprehensive sales and marketing campaigns, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and driving sales initiatives. Jenna’s strategic thinking and innovative approach will be crucial in elevating the hotel’s market position and attracting discerning travellers.

Tomy Sugeng has been appointed as the Cluster Director of Finance. With a notable 30-year career, Tomy has gained significant experience from distinguished establishments such as JW Marriott Medan, Le Méridien Jakarta, and Aman Resorts Indonesia. His role will be critical in overseeing financial operations and driving sustainable growth and profitability within the organization. Tomy’s extensive background in hospitality positions him well to contribute effectively to the hotel’s financial management and operational excellence.

The new Cluster Director of Human Resources is Mohamed Sunah, a highly esteemed Maldivian professional with 18 years of dedicated experience in the hospitality sector. His background includes notable positions at Hard Rock Indonesia, Gili Lankanfushi Maldives, and Lily Beach. Mohamed is set to elevate human resource management standards and cultivate a culture of excellence within the organization. His expertise promises significant advancements in employee engagement and operational efficiency.
