Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives, in collaboration with event organisers Music in Paradise, has announced an exciting event for alternative rock fans. From April 5th to 12th, 2025, the renowned Australian rock band Birds of Tokyo will perform at the private island resort, offering a unique blend of tropical escape and musical entertainment.
Formed in Perth, Birds of Tokyo has risen from independent beginnings to become a major force in Australian rock, winning the APRA Award for ‘Rock Work of the Year’ five times. The band has released six studio albums, including the ARIA chart-topping ‘Human Design,’ and has played at major festivals like Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival. They have also shared the stage with legends such as Muse, Midnight Oil, Cold Chisel, Bon Jovi, and Keith Urban.
The week-long event will feature three intimate performances set against the stunning backdrop of Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives’ white sand beaches and turquoise waters. Fans will have the unique opportunity to enjoy these performances on the beach and at the resort’s rooftop Sunset Bar.
