Orange Room, a local sports events company, announced the return of its triathlon event series – the Tri-Factor World Championship – to the Maldives from November 9-12, after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
The Tri-Factor World Championship, previously held in China, will be divided into two categories: elite and age group. The Tri-Factor Asia Cup, a new race format for the region's best triathletes, will also be held on August 13-14.
T.R.A.C. (Train - Recover - Assess - Complete), a feeder series consisting of shorter and simpler events, was also announced as a stepping stone to the main Tri-Factor races. The series will work in tandem with the LevelUP mobile application, which will provide users with coaching programs.
At the press conference held on Friday, May 13th, Co-Founder of Orange Room, Asia, Elvin Ting shared his insights on the event. "The pandemic has made us realize the importance of health and in this time, we have pivoted and developed new technologies with the aim of helping people improve their quality of life through health and fitness."
