Jumeirah Olhahali Island is launching its festive programme, A Season by the Sea, welcoming guests to celebrate connection, serenity, and joy under the Maldivian sky. Running from 18 December 2025 to 7 January 2026, the calendar combines cherished traditions with family-friendly experiences designed to delight every generation.
The festivities open on 18 December with the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, where guests gather for an intimate evening featuring live music and festive bites. The following afternoon, young guests are invited to express their creativity in a gingerbread house decorating workshop, creating memorable moments to share.
Wellness and adventure play a central role throughout the season. Guests can begin their days with sunrise power yoga or Pilates by the water and enjoy sunset tennis socials and holiday tournaments on the island courts. For those drawn to the marine world, guided experiences include the Ocean Wonders Christmas morning snorkelling adventure, a Dolphin Quest cruise, or a private nurse shark encounter, fostering a deeper connection with the surrounding waters.
Culinary experiences are equally immersive. Highlights include an Oyster & Caviar Dinner, a Maldivian Sharing Beach Dinner celebrating local flavours, and a private Festive High Tea for intimate gatherings. On Christmas Eve, a Gala Gathering is followed by the Olhahali Oceanside Gala Dinner, complete with live music and festive classics. Christmas Day features a relaxed Poolside Brunch blending seasonal delicacies with island charm.
The New Year’s celebrations continue with a grand New Year’s Eve Soirée and the signature Gala Dinner at Glow, combining culinary artistry with entertainment. On New Year’s Day, guests can enjoy a Beachside Brunch followed by a week of flavour-led experiences, including the Chef’s Table at Kayto, showcasing Nikkei cuisine, and Taste of India at Glow, highlighting India’s diverse regional dishes.
To complement the festivities, Jumeirah Olhahali Island offers a selection of villas suited to couples, families, and larger groups. One-bedroom overwater and beach villas feature private pools, rooftop terraces, and direct ocean access. For families and groups, two- and three-bedroom villas, including the signature MIRI Villa, offer multiple bedrooms, spacious living areas, and infinity pools over the lagoon or beach, ideal for shared celebrations.
