Chef Dmitrii, a native of Baku, Azerbaijan, has built an illustrious career in the culinary world. Starting at the legendary restaurant “Yar,” he joined Maison Dellos in 2000 and worked his way up to head chef in 2008. His expertise has earned him recognition internationally, including representing Azerbaijan at the 2016 International Gastronomic Festival in Cannes. His experience also extends to VIP catering, having served major events like the 2017 Confederations Cup, the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, and the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Chef Dmitrii’s approach to cuisine is defined by his bold yet refined style, seamlessly combining Pan-Asian flavors with Classic European techniques to create innovative and unforgettable dishes.
During this exclusive event at JW Marriott Maldives, Chef Dmitrii will guide guests through a series of thoughtfully curated dining experiences. One of the highlights will be a four-course dinner at the resort’s Wine Room, an elegant setting located in the heart of Aailaa, which boasts an impressive collection of over 300 wine labels. Each dish, such as crispy chicken with watermelon and soy sprouts, octopus in black pepper sauce, and Chef Dmitrii’s signature honey cake with blackcurrant sorbet, will be paired with exceptional wines selected by the resort’s sommelier. As part of this experience, Chef Dmitrii will also share stories about the rich history of Maison Dellos and the artistry behind its culinary creations.
Another exceptional experience during the event will take place at a sunken outdoor Tandoor & Tawa, surrounded by tiki torches and the serene beauty of nature.
