The five-star resort, Coco Bodu Hithi of the Coco Collection is all prepped to welcome the first-ever Relaxation Officer to the property with the arrival of Dr Audrey Tang. Dr Tang is a chartered psychologist (British Psychological Society) and an award-winning business author who emphasizes using practical tools for well-being. She will be taking residency at the resort from 11th – 15th February 2023.

The findings of a study* conducted in Britain revealed that the average person is stressed three times a day and an alarming 73% of participants felt they had too much on their plates. The study also found out that in general, over half of the polled people concurred that January is the most stressful time of the year. When asked about what they did to relieve stress, 39% of partakers opted to take a stroll while 29% of people soaked up some sunshine. 16% of pollers agreed that the sound of waves crashing on a beach relaxes them while 9% said a swim was the best solution to address the problem.
Speaking on relaxing, Dr Tang remarks “People have been under an increasing amount of stress over the years, from navigating through a pandemic to managing the current economic state. Relaxing is extremely important, and we often underestimate how vital it is to ensure we lead healthy and fulfilled lives, which is why working on such a picturesque island like Coco Bodu Hithi is such a dream job for me.”

This includes going on guided barefoot walks, affirmations and intention setting, as well as positive psychology workshops with guests and associates.
