The Maldives' national airline, Maldivian, is the country's largest domestic carrier. From its major hub at Velana International Airport, Maldivian flies to India, Bangladesh, Thailand, and China. Maldivian is also the country's sole operator that offers both seaplane and wheel base flights.

As for the protective measures taken by the airline, it is the crew and the management’s dedication to provide the safest journeys for its passengers. Hence, Maldivian has released an important notice for the passengers travelling to and from India to Maldives.

For the passengers travelling to India from Maldives, passengers must have a valid VISA and a valid negative PCR test taken at least 72 hours prior to the flight. It is also required for the passengers to enroll and register on https://www.newdelhiairport.in/covid19 (72 hours prior to flight ) and register at https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv/ (24 hours prior to departure ).

For the passengers travelling to Maldives from India, passengers must have a negative PCR test taken at least 96 hours prior of flight. Maldivian passengers must register https://haalubelun.hpa.gov.mv/ and international passengers are to register at https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv 24 hours prior to arrival.
