
Health Protection Agency’s case updates as of 7th May, 04:30pm, confirmed an additional 24 cases of COVID-19 infection in Maldives. The cases: 20 Bangladeshi, 1 Indians and 3 Maldivians. This brings the total number of cases to 642. HPA informs that this includes samples from active surveillance of vulnerable homes.

As of 04:30pm, confirmed an additional 24 cases of COVID-19 infection in Maldives.
Cases:
- 20 Bangladeshi
- 01 Indians
- 03 Maldivians
This includes samples from active surveillance of vulnerable homes.
Total number of cases: 642
On 6th May, the country had a shocking 44 cases of 34 Bangladeshis, 2 Indians and 8 Maldivians. The government of Maldives also released general information on Incident Command Posts (ICPs), which revealed the following services for houses under monitoring: Assistance in purchasing food and delivery under special circumstances, psycho-social support and medical support.
Further, government had also published General Information regarding electricity billing. STELCO will be sending an “average bill” and requests all the customers to send a photo of the meter for an accurate reading so that the bill can be amended accordingly and the 40% discount subsidy provided by the government is included.
