The Indian Ocean’s first-ever multi-island, integrated leisure destination, CROSSROADS Maldives, unveiled its full-day itinerary to celebrate Global Wellness Day on June 10th. The itinerary includes many soul-enriching activities such as #DanceMagenta – a vibrant dance program designed for all ages and abilities.
Global Wellness Day was first commemorated in 2012 as a worldwide initiative committed to promoting physical, mental and spiritual health benefits. Today it is celebrated in numerous locations around the world with the common goal of inspiring everyone to improve their well-being. This year, this empowering celebration will see a three-hour livestream event that will connect wellness seekers from all parts of the globe.
Over at CROSSROADS, several curated sessions will take place at its award-winning properties, Hard Rock Hotel Maldives and SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton as well as at The Marina @ CROSSROADS. This year’s theme for the day is #DanceMagenta which focuses on the liberating and uplifting spirit surrounding dance. The theme will unfold in three easy steps, allowing people to come together and discover the joy of dancing with:
1. Dance with your Body (as a form of physical exercise)
2. Dance with your Mind (as a means of meditation)
3. Dance with Life (incorporate dancing in all aspects of your daily routine)
In line with the theme, a #DanceMagenta class will be hosted by Amanda at The Marina @ CROSSROADS on 10th June 2023 at 16:30 hours. All guests at the destination are invited to participate in this invigorating exercise and have a good time. Additionally, The Marina will also host the Street Market on the same date, dedicated to wellness products and businesses.
Along with these inclusions, guests staying at SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton can experience a series of complimentary classes as part of the festivities for Global Wellness Day. The celebrations will start at sunrise with an awakening ‘Morning Yoga’ at the SAii Beach Club followed by rejuvenating ‘Dance for your Soul’ sessions at Miss Olive Oyl, the Pool Bar and lawn.
In the evening guests can come together for ‘Sunset Yoga’, before embarking on a highly spiritual ‘Dance with your Thoughts’ experience and an ‘Evening Walk.’ Afterwards, a ‘Healthy Dinner’ can be enjoyed at Miss Olive Oyl, the beachside Mediterranean seafood grill and bar, or Kinkao, the stylish Thai bistro. To end the day on an upbeat note, all SAiiLanders are invited to sign off with a ‘Detox Mocktail Party’ featuring a live DJ!
The music-inspired beach resort will kick off Global Wellness Day with ‘Morning Yoga’ at The Pavilion which will be accompanied by healthy juice and booster shots. This will ensure guests have sufficient energy for a ‘Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Beginner Class’ hosted at the Red Mat martial arts hub. Additionally, guests can partake in an elegantly staged ‘Aeria Arts Beginner Class’ to bring a colourful element into their eclectic experiences.
At the resort’s outdoor pool, ‘Dance Fitness’ and ‘Water Exercise’ sessions will take centre stage and all guests can make their fitness commitments with a ‘DIY Body Buff’ at the Rock Spa, before turning their attention to #DanceMagenta. As for couples, Hard Rock Hotel Maldives brings a unique experience with a ‘Couple Stress Release Workshop’ that is a must-explore for all partners.
Managing Director of CROSSROADS Maldives, Tolga Unan remarks, “CROSSROADS Maldives is a haven of activity where all guests can unwind and feel the benefits of wellness – whether it’s physical fitness, mental wellbeing or spiritual healing. So, we are delighted to be part of the Global Wellness Day 2023 celebrations. By embracing the ethos of this important initiative and staging a series of dedicated classes, including #DanceMagenta, we can help every guest discover an activity to suit their personality and potentially kickstart a new healthy lifestyle.”
