Crown and Champa Resorts has announced that all its properties will be temporarily suspending operations, starting from 15th April to 30th June 2020. This decision was taken amidst the coronavirus pandemic that has hit hard on the Maldives travel industry.

Crown & Champa Resorts was established in 2000 and since then has grown to be one of the largest hospitality companies in the country, with 9 luxury properties: Hurawalhi Island Resort & Spa, Komandoo Island Resort & Spa, Kudadoo Island Resort & Spa, Kuredu Island Resort & Spa, Meeru Island Resort & Spa, Veligandu Island Resort & Spa, Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa, Innahura Maldives Resort and Champa Central Hotel.
While Veligandu Island Resort & Spa, Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa, and Meeru Island Resort & Spa will be closed from April 1 to June 30, Hurawalhi Maldives, Kudadoo Maldives Private Island by Hurawalhi, Innahura Maldives Resort, Komandoo Maldives and Kuredu Resort Maldives will be suspending operations from April 15th.
