The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, is set to elevate its Masters of Crafts experiences by hosting Chef Rolf Fliegauf, one of Switzerland’s most decorated chefs. This exclusive two-night residency at the resort's Beach Shack restaurant will feature Chef Rolf's original culinary creations infused with a Maldivian twist, celebrating the intersection of global flavors and local ingredients.
With six Michelin stars and 18 Gault Millau points to his name, Chef Rolf Fliegauf is recognized for his innovative “purist-aroma” cuisine, which emphasizes the true essence of each ingredient. Guests can look forward to an elegant tasting menu that showcases his hallmark dishes while incorporating regional influences.
Among the standout dishes will be Chef Rolf’s iconic lobster dish, featuring local Maldivian lobster paired with citrus, XO sauce, and yuzu. Another highlight is the pre-dessert “Coconut and Caviar,” which combines the richness of coconut with the salty notes of caviar. Additional menu items include "Yellowfin Tuna" with jalapeño and finger limes, "Hokkaido Scallop" with quinoa and bacon, and "Japanese Wagyu Beef" with beetroot and truffle.
Chef Rolf will be joined by his team from Ecco, including his wife, General Manager Jenifer Fliegauf, and Junior Sous Chef Sebastian Krawanja. They will collaborate with the resort’s newly appointed Executive Chef, Pedro Samper, to create a unique culinary experience.
Set against a backdrop of white sands and stunning ocean vistas, the Beach Shack restaurant provides an idyllic setting for this gastronomic event.
