Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has partnered with Curly Tales to launch an exciting platform in India. The campaign will take place for a month from April to May 2023 with the aim of strengthening the brand presence of the Maldives. It will also help to attract and engage with highly potential affluent travellers and drive aspiration and influence opinions as well.
Curly Tales is ranked among the country's highest trending leading food, travel, experiences & lifestyle content platforms. With a reach of 6.5 million active monthly users and 750,000 active daily users, the platform specializes in bringing intriguing experiences around the world under various segments such as culinary, wellness, adventures and so much more.
Under this campaign with MMPRC, Curly Tales founder and lead editor, Kamiya Jani visited the Maldives to experience the offerings of The Sunny Side of Life. She was hosted at Kaani Palm Beach, where she was able to enjoy exclusively Maldivian experiences with a local twist at a residential location. During her stay, she went on to discover local adventures, embarked on culinary exploration and sought out relaxation options.
On the next leg of her journey, she was posted at Grand Park Kodhipparu resort where she spent her time wisely trying out fun and adrenaline-pumping activities such as sunset fishing and water sports before unwinding with a sound therapy healing session at the resort’s spa. Before concluding her visit, she was also able to sample the local culinary scene through a scenic sandbank cooking class hosted on the property.
After returning back from the Maldives, Kamiya Jani will be creating various types of content based on her visit, offering potential travellers a glimpse into the popular Maldives destination and its inclusions. Her content will cover many experiences and segments featured in the Maldives and will offer details on products and the latest updates from the Maldives tourism industry.
As of 5th March 2023, 41,054 tourists arrived from India, positioning India as the second top source market. MMPRC has been holding several promotional initiatives targeting this market to maintain destination momentum. This includes digital and social media campaigns; participation in major fairs and exhibitions; media interviews; ad campaigns; outdoor advertising campaigns; familiarization trips, and more.
