Alila Kothaifaru Maldives is set to embark on a new culinary journey under the guidance of Dante, a seasoned hospitality professional with over 15 years of international experience. Known for his dedication to excellence and penchant for fresh and innovative dining concepts, Dante's appointment promises an exciting chapter for the resort.
Dante's career kicked off with the Starwood Management Trainee Program at The Westin Hotel in Montreal, Canada, and China. He then ventured into restaurant and bar management roles with Waldorf Astoria, contributing significantly to the successful launch of the brand's hotel in Chengdu, China, and subsequently in the Maldives.
His journey continued with a pivotal role as Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at Hilton West Bay in Qatar, where he played a crucial part during the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the opening of Society Lounge, a premier nightclub in Qatar. Most recently, Dante served as the Director of Food & Beverage at the JW Marriott Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia.
In his new position at Alila Kothaifaru Maldives, Dante will oversee all facets of the resort's food and beverage operations. He is determined to craft a culinary experience that showcases the best of the Maldives, prioritizing fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and dishes that exude simplicity and sophistication.
