Dhigali Maldives has stood out to be an exemplary resort in the Maldives during a global pandemic that led to economic downturn. The resort, even with no guests staying, has over 300 team members there.

The resort had announced temporary suspension of operations for 3 months, like majority of the resorts. However, Dhigali uses this opportunity to improve their services with over 300 team members still employed at the resort. Over 11,000 resort employees in the country have been reportedly sent on unfair no-pay leave as the resorts stop operation after suspension of on arrival visa.

The Human Resources Manager of Dhigali revealed what the team members are working on during this time period. They are cleaning up the island, from the stunning beach to the mesmerizing sand bank and inside the island’s wild trees. And while working, team members are enjoying some sunset chilling at the resort.
