Diamonds Thudufushi and MARS Achieve Coral Reef Restoration Success

Diamonds Thudufushi and MARS have made significant strides in coral reef restoration with their latest project in the Maldives. Inspired by MARS’s global success with Reef Stars technology, Diamonds Thudufushi launched its own initiative in September 2023, installing 203 Reef Stars. This effort has achieved a remarkable 99% coral survival rate.

The project aims to both combat beach erosion and enhance marine biodiversity, creating a vibrant habitat for diverse aquatic species. Building on this success, Diamonds Thudufushi plans to introduce 1003 additional Reef Stars in October 2024. This ambitious expansion will further support the marine ecosystem and help preserve the Maldives' natural beauty.
