The Maldives destination and all its offerings are being represented at the FESPO 2023- Switzerland’s premier travel and tourism event. Held from 2nd -5th February 2023 in Zurich, the event welcomes over 600 exhibitors from around the world, bringing the best of the global travel trade to visitors.
Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) is showcasing the Maldives tourism at FESPO 2023, highlighting our natural splendours, luxury offerings and bespoke experiences to target audiences of B2C and B2B visitors. FESPO 2023 is forecasted to draw out 60,000 trade visitors, providing a crucial opportunity for MMPRC to maintain destination momentum in the market and connect with prospective buyers and potential consumers.
Alongside MMPRC, 12 industry partners are also participating in the event and driving the promotion of the Maldives brand in the Swiss market. Through this event, MMPRC hopes to increase destination awareness in the market and provide the most up-to-date information on the tourism offerings in Maldives to both the travel trade and travellers. Moreover, industry partners will have the chance to exhibit their individual products and services to clients as well.
In 2022, Switzerland ranked among the top 10 source markets to the Maldives in terms of arrivals by recording 34,737 arrivals by the end of the year. MMPRC is further strengthening its reach into the market with many activities planned for this year. This included attending fairs, media familiarization trips, advertising campaigns, joint campaigns with tour operations and destination e-learning programmes. By conducting all these activities, they aim to unravel the unrivalled beauty, culture and hospitality of the Maldives to the Swiss Market.
