Dusit Thani Maldives is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Allevi as its new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager, effective immediately. Laura holds a Master of Arts in Sustainable Tourism Management from the Sustainability Management School (SUMAS) and brings a strong passion for environmental stewardship to the role.
In her position, Laura will lead the resort's sustainability initiatives, which include community outreach, environmental conservation, and educational programs. Her extensive knowledge in sustainable tourism will be vital in integrating eco-friendly practices throughout the resort’s operations and guest experiences.
Dusit Thani Maldives is part of the Tree of Life Sustainable Programme, reflecting the brand’s commitment to creating environmentally responsible experiences. This initiative includes various projects aimed at marine conservation, energy and water conservation, waste management, and biodiversity protection.
As part of her role, Laura will oversee important projects such as coral reef restoration, beach clean-ups, and energy-saving initiatives. She will also implement educational programs designed to raise awareness about sustainability among guests, team members, and local communities.
Jean-Louis Ripoche, Area General Manager for Maldives, expressed his optimism regarding Laura’s appointment, noting that her expertise aligns with the resort's sustainability goals and the Tree of Life programme.
