Emirates and Maldivian Soar Together: New Interline Partnership Expands Access to Maldivian Islands

Emirates, a global aviation leader, and Maldivian, the national carrier of the Maldives, have announced an exciting interline partnership, opening up 16 sought-after holiday destinations in the Maldives beyond the capital, Malé. Building on last year's Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two airlines, which aimed to explore collaborative opportunities, this partnership is set to enhance the travel experience for Emirates customers seeking to explore the Maldives archipelago.
This strategic interline agreement creates a host of new options for travelers by allowing them to utilize both carriers' services and networks on a single ticket. The result? A seamless and more convenient journey for passengers heading to the exotic islands of the Maldives. Starting from September 15, travel itineraries can be booked through emirates.com, the Emirates mobile app, or preferred travel agents for flights effective immediately.

Emirates customers can now access airports in multiple popular atolls via Malé, including Dharavandhoo Island, Faresmathoda Airport, Funadhoo Airport, Fuvahmulak Island Airport, Gan Island International, Kooddoo Island, Hanimaadhoo Island Airport, Kulhudhuffushi Airport, Hoarafushi Airport, Kaadedhdhoo Island Airport, Kadhdhoo Island, Madivaru Airport, Maafaru International Airport, Maavarulu Airport, Thimarafushi Airport, and Ifuru. For travelers heading to resort islands, the convenience continues as they are just a short seaplane or boat ride away from their final destination once they reach the nearest point in the interline network.
