Daniil Medvedev, the world's number two tennis player, will provide a 60-minute tennis clinic to guests staying at Amilla Maldives Resort and Residences on the resort's jungle tennis court. The extremely unique event will take place in November 2022, in collaboration with Lux Tennis, the operator of Amilla's tennis activities.
After reaching the final of the Australian Open 2022, the 26-year-old became the first player after Nadal, Federer, Djokovic, and Murray to hold the number one position since 2004. He was nominated for Breakthrough of the Year at the Laureus World Sports Award in February of this year. Medvedev now leads a new generation of tennis players hoping to dominate the ATP Tour in the next years.
Medvedev will attend two meet and greet events in addition to giving coaching and ideas to individuals looking to better their tennis. “I’m impatient to discover Amilla Maldives Resort for the first time, and to share my experience with the guests. Hope to see you there.” Medvedev, who is visiting the island for the first time, intends to inspire others to embrace tennis and perhaps even follow in his footsteps.
