Oaga Art Resort is inviting the 20252026 festive season with a programme with a core where Maldivian creativity is central. With the help of Foo as a creative curator and storyteller of the resort, the guests are welcomed to delve into the rich history and culture of the islands in terms of performances, crafts, and flavours.
This year celebrations include a platform consisting of purely local artists, both soulful singers and upbeat bands and DJs. The programme gives special emphasis on the variety of musical expression in the country and therefore the visitor gets an opportunity to feel the true beat of the islands during their stay.
There is also a cultural experience at the resort over food. Mama Food Cart located at Kaa Kada serves rotating food made by local ladies in various islands. Every week, a signature recipe will be presented that will express the culture and flavors of the atoll it represents, resulting in an excellent way of guests exploring the Maldives.
The practical skills are realized in the cooperation of Oaga with a cultural workshop, Kiyavahi, which produces the traditional Maldivian art. Embroidery, mat weaving, coir rope making, lacquer work and others are also exhibited in workshops and live installations. The island is also full of energy through the traditional Boduberu performances.
The Rahvehi artist troupe adds motion, images and flash performances throughout the resort that incorporates art into the everyday. The holiday decorations, Christmas tree inspired by Kadisi, and botanical decorations give the holiday events a special sense of place, whereas the New Year Eve is marked with fireworks, high-energized performance, and immersive storytelling.
The once-raising-all-inclusive plan of the Oaga Art Resort with the sessions of art, experiencing dance, outings, and watersports makes an artistic vacation when all the moments are predetermined by Maldivian culture and imagination.
