Having received his first Michelin star at the age of 25, Chef Gaetano Trovato is an inspiration to many chefs from around the world. Born and raised in Tuscany, Chef Gaetano developed a passion for food at a very young age. He had worked in different high praised restaurants globally and even trains young chefs inspired by his commitment and love for cuisines. Chef Gaetano is also an ambassador of the Slow Food Movement – rooted in a commitment to community and the environment.
Chef Gaetano is collaborating with Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru to train Maldivian chefs, taking the cuisine journey at the resort to a whole new level. From November onward, Chef Gaetano will be in the forefront of an exclusive and unique menu at Landaa Giraavaru’s Blu Restaurant. The menu will burst of Tuscany and Maldivian flavor, with specially curated ingredients and home-grown products.
Guests will have a rare chance to experience and taste Chef Gaetano’s exclusive dishes, in-person, twice a year at Blu Restaurant. His iconic touch is set to nourish year-round via his on-site protege who will travel to Tuscany to synthesize and enhance their learning at the two Michelin-starred Chef Gaetano’s own restaurant, Arnolfo The Frame, further evolving their own craft and passion.
Chef Gaetano Trovato will be in residence at Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru from November 22nd to 28th , 2021 and from February 17th to 23rd , 2022.
