SriLankan Airlines shares their excitement as they announced plans resume flights from Colombo, Sri Lanka to Gan International Airport, Addu City, Maldives after a brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In accordance with meticulously reinforced COVID-19 safety regulations and procedures, for the first time since the hiatus, the first SriLankan flight from Colombo arrived safely in Addu City earlier today with 174 foreign passengers.
The Airline stated that tickets are now available to the masses at the SriLankan Airlines website or through travel agencies as per usual. The airline says that flights are scheduled on a temporary basis depending on the situation as the pandemic has proved to be extremely volatile and susceptible to sudden and rapid change.
However, discussions are now underway to also resume flights to the neighboring Huvadhu Atoll on the condition that every passenger is subject to COVID-19 safety protocols and continues to adhere to the regulations for the Safety benefit of all parties involved.
