Snow moon, the next full Moon will be early on Sunday morning, Feb. 9 and will appear full for about three days. The best time to see it is at 7.33am.
It’s called the Snow Moon or the Storm Moon because of the heavy snows that fall in this season. Bad weather and heavy snowstorms made hunting difficult, so this Moon was also called the Hunger Moon.
What makes this full moon special is that it’s the first of four consecutive Supermoons in 2020. It will be the fourth largest and fourth brightest Moon of the 13 happening in 2020. However, as some experts describe the forthcoming full moon as a supermoon, others feel that it does not qualify as that category of celestial event.
Skywatchers will have to wait until the 9th of next month for the next Worm Moon.
