Happy Market Resorts grant workers with paid leave

Happy Market has announces that the brand will be offering employees 2 month paid leave while a large number of resorts are sending workers on un-paid offs. Employees at Thulhagiri Island Resort, Angaga Island Resort & Spa, Dreamland The Unique Sea & Lake Resort & Spa and Safari Island Resort will be getting a paid leave for April and May.

Happy Market General Manager Ali Ihusaan said that all employees of the previously mentioned four resorts will be given a paid leave effective from April 4 onwards for two months. He also wishes that all staff get to spend quality time with their family at home.

Over 11,000 resort employees have been forced to go on unpaid leaves, which has affected them greatly. After the government suspended the issue of on-arrival visa, almost all the resorts have closed down, causing huge unemployment in the industry.
