In order to ensure smooth travel, Emirates has invested in a number of smart tech developments in advance of the peak travel season of Eid and the Dubai school holidays beginning on July 8. Emirates encourages all travelers to explore the wide range of online and remote check-in options available.
There are several ways to improve the travel experience and prevent delays, such as advising passengers to arrive at the airport at least three hours before their flight is scheduled to depart and to make sure they have all the necessary documents for their destination.
Emirates Application
To have your travel arrangements conveniently at your fingertips, download the Emirates app. The app enables users to book and modify flights, download a digital boarding pass, pre-schedule meals, reserve chauffeured transportation, and even choose and schedule movies for the in-flight entertainment system.
Check the COVID Travel Requirements Before-Hand
Emirates advises travelers to get to the airport at least three hours prior to takeoff to allow for any additional health and safety inspections. For flights, face masks are required. Passengers are advised to check the COVID-19 test requirements and the health documents required for travel to Dubai and all of Emirates' current international destinations because the travel requirements for different countries change frequently.
WhatsApp COVID Support
Travelers in Dubai can access the most recent requirements for popular destinations on WhatsApp. The customer service team updates this information daily, so it is the most recent they have.
Remotes Emirates Check-in in Ajman
The Ajman Central Bus Terminal offers a 24-hour City Check-in service for passengers coming from the northern emirates, allowing them to arrive up to 4 hours prior to the flight's departure, check in their luggage, and obtain boarding passes. Following that, passengers can purchase a bus ticket for AED 20 and proceed directly to Emirates Terminal 3. Regular bus departures occur from 4am to 11.30pm every day. Travelers can just keep going to their flight once they get to the airport.
Online Check-in
The online check-in feature on www.emirates.com allows travelers to check in up to 48 hours before their flight. Additionally, you can pick your seat, order your preferred meal, and take advantage of any last-minute upgrade opportunities. It is simple to check bags at the airport's designated baggage drop desks and to download a digital boarding pass for use at the majority of international airports.
Drop Luggage off the Night Before Travel
If you are flying out of Dubai, you can check in ahead of time, leave your bags at the airport 12 hours prior to takeoff if you are flying to the US or Tel Aviv, and then arrive at the airport and go straight through immigration.
Home Check-in Service
Emirates home check-in is a service provided by DUBZ that is available through Emirates in Dubai and Sharjah. While you enjoy the rest of the day and breeze through the airport later, DUBZ agents complete the check-in process in your home, hotel, or place of business and take your bags to the flight. You may go to the airport check-in up to six hours before your flight departs if you book and pay for the service at least 24 hours before your flight. The home check-in service is free when you reserve First Class.
Self-Check-in Kiosks at Airport
The self-check-in kiosks at the airport are a quick and simple option. Travelers can use a mobile device to operate the touchscreen kiosk without touching it, or they can follow the instructions on the touchscreen kiosk to complete the check-in process. When you view your itinerary, select your seat, and add your Emirates Skywards number, you have the option of using the baggage drop area to check in your bags if you have already checked in online.
Take Advantage of the Biometric Path
Passengers simply walk through a tunnel and are cleared by immigration officials without human intervention or the need for a physical passport stamp in the Smart Tunnel, which is a first for passport control. A quick photo taken at check-in is all that is necessary to register and collect facial data. Passengers can check-in, pass through immigration, enter one of our lounges in Concourse B, and board flights at specific gates solely using facial recognition technology or their boarding pass.
Utilize the Smart Gates
When you return to Dubai, register to use the Smart Gates at Emirates Terminal 3 to bypass immigration lines every time. You may present a valid passport, boarding pass, or UAE ID if you are a UAE national or resident. GCC nationals and visitors with visas on arrival and a biometric passport may also use Smart Gates.
