Boutique Beach All Inclusive Diving Hotel has kicked off a Whale Shark Naming Competition, offering you the rare opportunity to name the endangered species. The female whale shark was spotted during a dive on Dhigurah Beyru on 3rd May. The 4 star property is looking for a Maldivian Word or Name for her.
“We discovered she was there when she started nibbling on the SMB near the surface, we looked up and there she was. She was very inquisitive and swam around with us for about 10 minutes before heading back into the deep blue,” revealed Boutique Beach. The Shark will be registered in the Big Fish Network database with Maldives Whale Shark Research Programme (MWSRP).
