High Spa Occupancy and Excellent Collection Proves Maldives is BIG on Wellness!

The Spas in Maldives are well-known for their ability to revitalize and rejuvenate even the most discerning travelers who come for relaxation. With all of the treatments purely based on combining oneself with nature and every single moment in the spa endured with an indulgence of the vast stretch of ocean in front of the guest’s eyes, Maldives spas are renown for allowing guests to transcend into a state of complete tranquility.

Before the hit of the COVID-19, it has been found according to Intelligent Spas that the Maldives had some of the highest occupancy rates pre-COVID. Intelligent Spas’ 2019 Global Research captured updated spa benchmarks from over 200 properties across 43 countries just before the COVID-19 outbreak.

The latest survey by the Intelligence Spa finds that although some spas have performed really well over the last three years, the average occupancy rates indicate that many spas have not. However, Maldives stands out from this statement as it performed well ahead predicting a 36% occupancy rate in 2019, down from 40.4 per cent the previous year. Due to the massive declines in visits due to lockdowns, occupancy rates in 2020 will greatly be affected.

But with the reopening of borders, here are some of the best spas that you need to try from the Maldives.
