The deluxe, Huvafen Fushi Maldives have announced that its property will be closing in the second quarter of 2023 in order to upgrade and refurbish its facilities. Following the renovation works, the resort is scheduled to be re-opened this year’s September before the festive season. At the moment, the resort is planned to close on May 15th and will officially start welcoming guests again on 1st September 2023.
Ever since its establishment, Huvanfen Fushi has raised the bar for luxury hospitality in the Maldives and hosts a growing delegation of loyal repeat guests, who return time and time again to the dazzling resort. Renowned for its modern design and exceptional service standards, Huvanfen Fushi also capitalizes on its winning location, situated just a 30-minute ride from Velana International Airport.
The planned renovations for the property will focus on preserving and honouring the authentic craftsmanship that sets the resort apart from others and will strive on connecting guests further with revamped designs. As such, the resort has recruited the assistance of BLINK Design’s architects and interior designers to give a new look to its sought-after rooms. At the same time, branding specialists at Quo Global will also be working towards elevating the visual identity of the brand, delivering a fresh makeover to Huvafen Fushi.
Under this renovation, all 44 exquisite bungalows of the resort will be refurbished, and an all-new accommodation category will make a debut during the opening. The featured accommodation is the ‘Two Bedroom Ocean Pavilions’ designed to offer sweeping views of the Indian Ocean while capturing the minimalistic modern aesthetics of a luxury experience. The design concept draws inspiration from the pristine natural confines of the resort and two of these units will be prepped and ready to be unveiled by September.
General Manager of Huvafen Fushi Maldives, Noel Cameron commented “These renovations are part of a scheduled plan to improve the facilities and services provided by Huvafen Fushi. This investment will build on the Huvafen legacy and provide guests with a purposeful immersion on the island and allow us to maintain our positioning as a leading resort in the Maldives.
