Illuminating Festive Season Concludes At Amilla Maldives With Stellar Lineup Of Events

Award-winning property, Amilla Maldives Resort & Residences’ festive season has come to an end, after 17 days of fun-filled world-class parties and entertainment. To start off, the island resort was illuminated with countless glow of eco-friendly LED & solar powered lights setting the mood for an unforgettable festive period. A towering Christmas tree made entirely of lights stood tall as the centrepiece of the beach, spreading the spirit of the holidays far and wide.
The high points that took place at the 5* resort include stunning live performances on New Year's Eve by British singer-songwriter, Pixie Lott and DJ Scott Mills under the theme ‘A Night at the Grammys’. 2023 was ringed in at midnight with a spectacular show of fireworks and eclectic beats to keep the crowds moving on the beach. The duo also lit up the stage in the 9 days leading up to the mega event, delighting guests with their serenades.
The festive programme that ran from December 22nd to January 8th saw Amilla Maldives go beyond its way to make memorable experiences for guests including the intriguing itineraries brought by Christmas, Orthodox Christmas and New Year. Dancing around the festive theme ‘Amilla Presents, Showtime!’, the property hosted a myriad of activities every day including acrobatics, workshops and exclusive events designated to various musicals and theatre favourites.
Wellness was interwoven into the festivities with several goofy named journeys scattered across the days. Some of the featured wellness events include Reindeer Zumba, An Elves Acrobatics Class and Santa’s Hatha Yoga which enriched the body and mind during the holiday season. The Javvu Spa also provided personalized wellness programmes for guests in its serene comforts too.
Set alongside Amilla’s’ glittering gala dinners and extravagant epicurean menus was the healthful and nutritious ‘Wellness Your Way’ cuisine! With many accolades to its worth, Wellness Your Way offers a wide selection of menus aligning with ‘eating lifestyles’ and are available as an extension to the main menus at all 7 gourmet restaurants for no additional charge. For more flare, guests can even integrate the cuisine into their bespoke wellness programmes designed by the Javvu Spa team.
As for the little guests at Amilla Maldives, they were far from being disappointed with a dedicated Festive Football Camp led by legendary player, Tim Sherwood. Another handful of inclusions for kids includes Mrs Claus’ Craft party and Mermaid classes together with other delightful activities at the Kids Club.
