Inside the Lush and Fresh Vegetable & Herb Garden at Innahura

Let's take a deep breath. Moments are meant to be easy and laid back when in Innahura. Sitting as an unpretentious gem at Lhaviyani Atoll, the resort has been busy at work on their exclusive in-house vegetable & herb garden in the past months.

Taking advantage of this very own garden in the green island, the team planted a huge variety of vegetables, fruit, herbs, and spices that will be now grown sustainably and sourced from garden-to-table at the resort. The varieties include cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, Aubergine (eggplants), green peppers, radishes, alongside tropical fruit such as watermelons and bananas that will be expertly crafted into mouth-watering meals for guests.

There are no fertilizers used in this organic garden hence the harvest grows naturally pure at a stretch of 12m wide and 30m long space of sustainable garden. In the times to come, the garden will continuously evolve to include more varieties.

The first harvest yielded a whopping 110kg of watermelons, 48kg of cucumbers, 5kg of cherry tomatoes, 12kg of eggplants, 2kg of green peppers, and 1kg of radishes. This means that soon, guests can get involved in the process too, and get to know more about how fruit and vegetables are cultivated on the island, and how this initiative helps sustain and respect the natural environment.
