Interschool Cycling Championship 2020

Dhiraagu in association with Bike Maldives will be hosting the 3rd Mamen Interschool Cycling Championship. It is scheduled to be held on 14th of March.

This contest among Maldives’ schools is to be held in Hulhumale Racing track. Similar to previous times, there will be 20 races and 4 age categories; below 13, below 15, below 17 and below 19. Men and women will compete separately. For cyclists below the age of 11, a dedicated contest called ‘Fun Ride’ has been organized.

Last year, over 600 students participated in 20 schools. But what changes the game this year is that it will be a one-day event, which will be held from morning 7 to 6 in the evening.

The purpose of this contest is to promote health and fitness starting at a young age and to encourage people to use environmentally friendly vehicles.
