In a culinary revival, JA Manafaru on its island paradise joyously reintroduces the mesmerizing Teppanyaki Grill experience to its White Orchid Restaurant. After a hiatus spanning four years, this exciting dining spectacle is set to captivate resort guests three nights a week starting from February 1st, featuring the skills of a newly appointed master chef.
Following the resort's accolade as the "Best Culinary Resort" at the TTM awards in 2023, Executive Chef Moosa Nazeer is eager to present "The Teppanyaki Experience." The culinary journey unfolds with a traditional miso soup, followed by a selection of tempting entrées, including Nori Tempura Tacos. Diners then have the choice of savoring the best seafood from the Indian Ocean or opting for meat from the resort's carefully curated Ethical Meat program, featuring offerings like Cape Grim beef and Hazeldene’s Chicken.
JA Manafaru initiated the Ethical Meat program in 2023 to meet the growing demand from travelers wanting transparency about the origin of their food and humane treatment of animals during the rearing process. This program is a part of the resort’s broader sustainability and wellness initiatives.
Wellness Your Way, a program launched at the resort in 2023 on World Food Day, November 18th, also features in The Teppanyaki Experience. In alignment with the resort's commitment to diverse dietary preferences, the menu at the Teppan grill caters to Vegan/Vegetarian, Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, and low-carb eating lifestyles. This ensures that all guests can relish the live cooking action at the Teppanyaki Grill.
Chef Moosa Nazeer expressed his excitement, stating, "I am beyond thrilled to reintroduce our Teppanyaki at JA Manafaru. This was previously one of our most popular dining experiences, and we have taken the hiatus to refine and develop our offering, and we can’t wait to see our guests enjoying this once again." Experience the theatrical artistry and delectable flavors of Teppanyaki Grill at JA Manafaru, where culinary delight takes center stage.
