JOALI BEING is excited to welcome German tennis professional Mischa Zverev for a series of tennis workshops from August 9th to 19th, 2024. This summer, young guests can join the Ace Academy workshops, learning tennis fundamentals and participating in thrilling matches. Zverev will also conduct a special workshop for local teenagers, supporting those with diabetes through the Alexander Zverev Foundation.
Mischa Zverev, once ranked world No. 25, began his tennis journey at age two, coached by his father. Known for defeating world No. 1 Andy Murray at the 2017 Australian Open, Zverev brings a wealth of experience to JOALI BEING. His brother, Alexander Zverev, has also made a significant mark in tennis, achieving a world No. 2 ranking.
The Ace Academy is part of the B’Kidult Summer Programme, which started on July 1st, 2024. Zverev will lead two tennis workshops on August 15th and 17th, focusing on hand-eye coordination, footwork drills, and cardio. These sessions aim to develop essential life skills, resilience, and teamwork in a fun, supportive environment. Young players will boost their speed and agility while learning to command the court confidently.
In addition to guest workshops, Zverev will inspire teenagers from a nearby local island. Reflecting on his return, Zverev shared, "I am deeply honoured to return to the island of wellbeing, where we have created moments of joy and inspiration together with the team, guests, and local community. I am very much looking forward to sharing my passion and motivating youngsters once again. JOALI BEING is truly my favourite place on earth."
JOALI BEING offers a unique experience for multi-generational travellers, integrating nature into every aspect of the resort. From the crystalline waters and lush palms to soft sands, the environment fosters a memorable family journey of discovery, learning, and wellbeing. The resort's Four Pillars—Mind, Skin, Microbiome, and Energy—are brought to life through experiential learning and active engagement.
During his stay, Zverev and his family will engage in various activities, including culinary classes, herbology workshops, yoga, sound baths, marine conservation, and snorkelling adventures. These activities nurture connection and promote holistic wellbeing.
Since opening in late 2021, JOALI BEING has supported and inspired local communities. The Zverev brothers previously visited the resort in November 2022, hosting tennis workshops and supporting children with diabetes. The Alexander Zverev Foundation aims to help young people with diabetes lead healthy and active lives, preventing type 2 diabetes and supporting those with type 1 diabetes.
JOALI BEING offers villas starting at $2700 per night, based on two people sharing an Ocean Pool Villa on a B&B basis. Wellbeing Programmes start from $1,693 per person for a five-night programme.
