
Jumeirah Olhahali Island has announced the appointment of Surath Wickremasinghe as its new Director of Food & Beverage. Surath brings over 16 years of experience in luxury hospitality, having worked with top international brands including Marriott, Hilton, Fairmont, Mövenpick, and Shangri-La.
At the all-villa resort, he will lead food and beverage operations across six venues, including Kayto’s Japanese-Peruvian fusion, Shimmers’ Mediterranean beachside menu, and Glow’s globally inspired dishes. His role will also focus on enhancing unique experiences such as private sandbank dinners and guest masterclasses.
Known for his strong background in mixology and guest experience, Surath aims to enrich the island’s beverage offerings while maintaining its relaxed, elegant charm.
His appointment signals a fresh chapter for Jumeirah Olhahali Island’s dining journey, blending international expertise with island-inspired creativity.
