Kuredhivaru Resort and Spa, previously known as Mövenpick Resort Kuredhivaru Maldives, has officially rebranded as of January 1, 2025. This marks a significant milestone for the property as it transitions to a new identity under the Accor umbrella. The resort is preparing for a full relaunch by the end of 2025 as part of Accor's Luxury Lifestyle portfolio.
Stanislaw Pajdzinski, General Manager of Kuredhivaru Resort and Spa, shared that the name change is a reflection of the resort’s evolution. While certain features no longer align with the Mövenpick brand, the resort is undergoing enhancements aimed at elevating its luxury and lifestyle offerings.
The upgrade project will include refurbishments to all beach villas, residences, restaurants, public areas, and the arrival jetty. Water villas are set for an upgrade during the low season of 2026. The goal is to refresh the interiors and aesthetics to create a modern, luxurious atmosphere that matches the resort’s new direction. Pajdzinski assured guests that no disruptive construction or noise will affect their experience.
Despite the rebrand, the resort’s ownership, management, and team remain the same. All current and future bookings will retain their rates, inclusions, and benefits for Accor Live Limitless and Accor Plus members.
“This rebranding is more than a name change—it signifies the evolution of our identity and reinforces our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional and personalised experiences. Our goal is to enhance the quality and excellence of our offerings while ensuring unparalleled experiences for our valued repeat guests and future visitors,” said Pajdzinski. The resort is excited to begin this new chapter and looks forward to revealing more details as the transformation progresses.
