Dhiraagu introduces special Ramadan packages to help the community amidst the coronavirus pandemic. Customers can get 3 GB for MVR 75. This package can be activated through the app and will last 7 days since the activation.

Batelco, the principal telecommunications company in Bahrain and also Dhiraagu’s main shareholder with 52% of shares, has made unlimited internet free in Bahrain due to COVID19. Customers of Batelco fixed broadband internet will be able to get unlimited internet without any charges until the end of May. Batelco received a revenue of 2 billion from Dhiraagu in 2018.

Further, on 22nd April, Dhiraagu announced the postponement of Road Race. ‘Considering the current situation of COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken the decision to  postpone the 14th edition of Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race (DMRR), the largest annual run held in the Maldives.’ DMRR brings together thousands of runners from all over the country every year and it is the company’s most anticipated event.
