The flagship carrier of Poland, LOT Polish Airlines has recommenced flights to the Maldives for the winter season. The year-end is always a busy time for airports and the airline industry with many people traveling to new destinations for the Christmas and New Year Holidays. Maldives is increasingly gaining momentum and popularity in international markets with many wanderlust travelers booking their next trip with the beachy paradise, thus making it a high-demand hot-spot during the peak season.
As such, LOT Polish Airlines is among the many international airlines that have resumed flights to the destination helping customers escape the winter blues. In the Maldives, the carrier will be operating weekly flights throughout the season. A commercial class aircraft of Boeing 787 will be used for the flights and will operate between Warsaw Chopin Airport and Velana International Airport once weekly.
The monthly statistics for October depict that the Maldives welcomed over 17,000 tourists from Poland between January and October 2022 with the Polish market currently ranked as the 14th top source market.
LOT Polish Airlines first commenced direct flights to the Maldives on February 2021, last year.
