Madifushi Private Island has taken another step toward strengthening luxury service by hosting the SABA International Hotel Butler Training Programme. Delivered in partnership with the South African Butler Academy, this globally respected training aims to enhance personalised service within the resort and the wider Maldivian hospitality community.
The programme was held in two separate batches, each lasting three days. This format allowed each participant to receive more focused and hands on instruction. In addition to its own team, Madifushi invited staff from Hulhule Island Hotel and Maldives Airports Company Limited to take part, reflecting a shared effort to align service standards across the industry.
The training took place on Madifushi Private Island and was led by Newton Cross, Principal and Master Trainer of the South African Butler Academy. With extensive experience in luxury service training, he delivered sessions covering a wide range of topics such as grooming, etiquette, food and beverage service, guest relations, and cultural awareness.
During the graduation ceremony, General Manager Mohamed Hilmy highlighted the importance of continuous learning and professional development. He recognised the quality of the training and noted visible improvements in participant performance, especially in confidence and professionalism.
Through this initiative, Madifushi continues to invest in high quality training to support its vision of delivering refined and personalised hospitality in the Maldives.
