Today onwards, passengers onboard Etihad Airways departing from Abu Dhabi will be able to validate their Covid19 travel documents before arriving at the airport. This new travel documentation verification introduced by the national airline of United Arab Emirates ensures guests arrive to the airport with confidence, knowing that their travel requirements meet all essential guidelines before their flight.
As of now, the service is available from Abu Dhabi airport and future developments are in progress to introduce the feature in Amman, Beirut, Dhaka and Manila shortly thereafter. Etihad announced that they are also working on facilitating the convenience in other destinations as well.
Chief Operating Officer, Etihad Aviation Group, Mohammad Al Bulooki commented on the new service and said that Etihad continuously looks for innovative solutions to simplify the travel experience.
Verified to Fly service can be used by signing up on the ‘Manage my Booking’ portal and submitting relevant documents. Upon submission, guests will receive a notification f ‘success’ or ‘fail’ via email once the Verified to Fly team checks the documentations in light of government requirements. If requirements are missing or not met, the guest will be asked to resubmit or check their documents.
With this new service, guests will have the opportunity to proceed through check-in on fast track by going to the dedicated Verified to Fly desk for a quicker and smoother journey.
