Maldives Airports Company Limited Honours Its Long-Serving Employees With Accolades

On Saturday, Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) hosted a special function for its employees to honour those who have served for an extended period at the company. The Service Recognition Awards was held at Dharubaaruge, where 145 employees received accolades after dutifully devoting 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of continuous service to MACL.

A notable number of employees became the recipient of the recognition awards for long-time commitment which not only is a great accomplishment for the staff but for the company as a whole. MACL notes and expresses gratitude for its employees who have contributed immensely to the company’s success through their many years of dedicated service.

From the total of 145 employees honoured last night, 41 staff was recognized for 20+ years of service, 68 for 25 years of service and 16 for 30+ years of service whereas 15 employees were distinguished for 35+ years of service and 5 noteworthy employees marked 40+ years of service.

Speaking at the function, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of MACL, Mr Mahjoob Shujau commented “Many are joining aviation industry inspired from your work. This may not only be your contribution of service to MACL but a contribution to take the country’s younger generation on the right path”. Referring to the service enhancement and infrastructural development of VIA, MD emphasized it is his desire that during this change, everyone should make the best use of their expertise and bring positive changes to the company.

As one of the largest employers in the country, supporting more than 3500 employees in various different departments, MACL prides itself as a company that prioritizes the welfare and benefits of its employees.
