The Maldives tops the list of favourite honeymoon destinations for 2020, closely followed by Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Bali and Thailand, according to a report from Kuoni.
82% of honeymoons booked were via the travel agent as they can advise on the latest luxury resorts, multi-centre itineraries and upgrade options.
Other destinations in the honeymoon bestsellers list include Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, USA and Italy. Couples now invest an average of USD 10052.94 on their dream trip, compared to around USD 7838.55 in 2017.
Even in the luxury destination chart, the paradise island nation of the Maldives retains the top spot, maintaining a record of 17 years. Mauritius, Thailand and Sri Lanka following in positions two, three and four respectively.
Italy is the only European country finishing making it to the top 10, with Greece, Spain and Turkey below.
